Power League: True Stage of Skill

Power League is Brawl Stars' competitive mode. Unlike regular games, it features a ban/pick system requiring strategic thinking, with rank increases from victories yielding generous season end rewards.

Power League Basics

Rank System

Power League divides into 6 leagues: Bronze (0-599 points), Silver (600-1199), Gold (1200-1799), Diamond (1800-2399), Mythic (2400-2999), and Legendary (3000+). Each league subdivides into I, II, III.

Victory grants +8 points, defeat costs -2 points (Bronze has no point decrease). At season end, Gold III and below don't reset, Diamond resets to Gold II, Mythic to Gold I, and Legendary to Diamond II.

Ban/Pick Strategy

Ban Phase

Each team bans 2 brawlers, making 4 brawlers unavailable total. What to ban? First, ban overwhelmingly strong brawlers on the map (e.g., Frank on narrow Brawl Ball maps). Second, check opponent profile and ban high win rate brawlers. Third, ban brawlers that counter your desired team composition.

Don't ban brawlers your team will use (disastrous if accidentally banned) or weak brawlers (not worth banning).

Pick Phase

Alternate selecting brawlers. For 1st pick strategy, secure map's strongest brawler, or versatile brawlers (Bibi, Penny), or brawlers troublesome if opponent gets them. For 2nd pick, build composition matching 1st pick and consider counters after seeing opponent pick. For 3rd pick, complete team composition, target opponent weakness, and fill missing role (tank, dealer, support).

Mode-Specific Strategies

Brawl Ball

Key: At least 1 tank essential. Recommended compositions: Tank (Frank, El Primo) + Dealer (Bibi) + Support (Max) or 2 Tanks + 1 Dealer. Ban recommendations: Frank and Bibi.

Gem Grab

Key: Gem carrier + 2 attackers. Recommended composition: Gem carrier (Jessie, Penny) + Attackers (Buzz, Edgar) + Support (Sandy). Ban recommendations: Sandy and Penny (invisibility and turret are powerful).

Bounty

Key: Brawlers with excellent kill ability. Recommended composition: Sniper (Piper, Brock) + Assassin (Buzz, Crow) + Tank (Bull). Ban recommendations: Piper and Buzz (top kill ability).

Heist

Key: High safe/IKE attack power brawlers. Recommended composition: Melee dealer (Edgar, Buzz) + Tank (El Primo) + Long-range (Colt). Ban recommendations: Edgar and Colt (best safe demolition ability).

Hot Zone

Key: Zone control ability. Recommended composition: Tank (Frank, Rosa) + Area dealer (Penny, Jessie) + Support (8-Bit). Ban recommendations: Frank and Penny (best zone control).

How to Rank Up

Bronze to Silver is very easy. Just master 1-2 confident brawlers. Individual skill matters more than teamwork. Silver to Gold is also easy. Master 1 brawler per mode and understand ban/pick basics.

Gold to Diamond is medium difficulty. Must handle all roles (tank, dealer, support). Map understanding becomes important. Diamond to Mythic is hard. Must read opponent strategy in ban/pick and execute counters. Teamwork and communication are key.

Mythic to Legendary is very hard. Must be proficient with all brawlers, perfectly understand meta, and minimize mistakes.

Power League Tips

All brawlers automatically become level 11, so you can try brawlers you don't usually use. Form a team with friends if possible. Communication greatly increases win rate. Unfortunately trolls exist too, so don't get discouraged from one loss - focus on increasing win rate long-term.

Check your Power League statistics on BrawlFriends and analyze which brawlers have high win rates. Check current meta on BrawlFriends tier list and prioritize practicing strong brawlers. Watch replays of lost games and analyze what went wrong. Take a break during losing streaks. Continuing while angry leads to more losses.

Season End Rewards

When Power League season ends, receive rewards based on rank: Bronze (500 Coins), Silver (1,000 Coins + 100 Power Points), Gold (2,000 Coins + 200 Power Points + 100 Star Points), Diamond (4,000 Coins + 400 Power Points + 300 Star Points), Mythic (6,000 Coins + 600 Power Points + 600 Star Points), Legendary (10,000 Coins + 1,000 Power Points + 1,000 Star Points). Reaching Legendary also grants exclusive profile icon!

Collect Power League medals to purchase exclusive skins: Silver (25,000 Star Points), Gold and Diamond (50,000 Star Points each).

Power League is the stage to prove true skill. Utilize this guide's strategies to rank up and track statistics on BrawlFriends to grow. See you at Legendary rank!
