# Complete Hot Zone Guide

Hot Zone is Brawl Stars' strategic point control mode. Securing and maintaining zones is key to victory, with teamwork and positioning being decisive factors.

Basic Mechanics

Hot Zone is a 3v3 team battle with 1-3 zones on the map. The team with more brawlers in a zone controls it, earning 1% per second while controlling. The first team to reach 100% wins. If no one is in a zone or teams are tied in numbers, it becomes neutral.

Core Strategies

Zone Priority On 3-zone maps, maintaining 2 zones consistently is more efficient than fighting for all 3 and losing them. The center zone is most important - even if you sacrifice a side zone, you must hold the center.

Rotation Timing Before completely losing a zone, one teammate should rotate to another zone to capture it. When outnumbered at one zone, quickly move to another zone.

Spawn Suppression Eliminating enemies immediately after they respawn and before they return to zones allows you to maintain zones longer. Waiting near enemy spawn can be strategic.

Zone Maintenance Strategies

Tank Placement Placing tanks like Bull, Frank, or El Primo inside zones prevents easy enemy entry. Tanks with high HP can hold zones for extended periods.

Ranged Support Long-range brawlers like Piper, Brock, and Belle can pressure enemies and support teammates from outside the zone. You can block enemy approaches without entering the zone directly.

Healer Utilization Healers like Poco, Pam, and Byron heal teammates inside zones to maintain control longer. Healers nullify enemy poke damage.

Best Hot Zone Brawlers

S-Tier: Pam, Poco, Sandy - **Pam**: Healing turret maximizes teammate survivability in zone - **Poco**: Area heal simultaneously heals multiple teammates - **Sandy**: Sandstorm provides invisibility in zone

A-Tier: Bull, Jessie, Tara, Gray - **Bull**: High HP holds zone for long durations - **Jessie**: Turret provides automatic zone defense - **Tara**: Super eliminates enemy groups - **Gray**: Portal enables quick zone movement

B-Tier: Tick, Barley, 8-Bit Brawlers specialized in zone control and team buffs.

Map-Specific Strategies

Single Zone Maps All brawlers focus on one zone. Tank + healer combos are powerful, and area damage brawlers (Stu, Emz) have advantages.

Dual Zone Maps Distribute brawlers between zones. Usually 1-2 or 2-1 splits are effective. High-mobility brawlers (Max, Mortis) enable fast rotations.

Triple Zone Maps Focusing on only 2 zones is safer. Control center + one side, conceding the other side to enemies.

Recommended Team Compositions

**Tank Comp**: Bull + Frank + Poco - Overwhelming zone presence blocks enemy entry

**Balanced Comp**: Pam + Jessie + Gray - Heal, turret, and portal for zone maintenance and rotation

**Ranged Comp**: Brock + Piper + Byron - Long-range poke blocks enemy approaches

Positioning Tips

Zone Border Utilization Standing at zone borders allows zone capture while enabling retreat, providing safety. Standing in zone center makes you vulnerable to focused fire.

Wall Cover Hiding behind walls allows zone capture while avoiding enemy attacks. Especially effective on closed maps.

High Ground Control High ground allows overlooking zones while pressuring enemies. Ranged brawlers should utilize high ground.

Mistake Prevention

No Full Team on Single Zone If all 3 are on one zone, you'll lose the others. Always distribute across zones.

Avoid Forced Recaptures If you've completely lost a zone, don't force a recapture - better to secure other zones firmly.

No Over-Eagerness After Spawn Don't rush to zones immediately after respawning - move with teammates. Going alone leads to being picked off.
